The Lillian Meighen Wright Centre opened on April 25, 2016 and will serve as the landmark building of York’s EcoCampus in Costa Rica.  Through a generous transformational donation from the Lillian Meighan and Don Wright Foundation, the Centre and property is located next to the 400-acre Las Nubes Forest Reserve, one of the largest rainforest ecosystems in Central America. The facility serves as the epicenter of the EcoCampus – a gathering place for researchers, artists, students and change makers from diverse backgrounds.  The Centre serves as an inviting and inspiring space for international researchers, writers, artists and performers as a destination for seminars, retreats and residencies.  For students, the Centre offers immersive experiential learning opportunities in a breathtaking natural and cultural setting.  Students will be able to participate in hands-on projects that prepare them for exciting careers and as engaged global citizens.
